Arizona dismisses RB Orlando Bradford after arrest

The Arizona football team will be losing some depth at running back. On Wednesday, Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez said sophomore running back Orlando Bradford has been dismissed from the program.

Bradford was dismissed from the Wildcats due to a recent arrest, according to ESPN.com.

Ivan Leonard of The Daily Wildcat reports Bradford was arrested on seven felony charges — three counts of kidnapping and four counts of aggravated assault.

“Earlier today, we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested,” Rodriguez said in a statement. “As a result of his actions, he has been dismissed from the program.”

Through two games this season, Bradford has totaled five carries for 16 yards while splitting carries with junior Nick Wilson.

Arizona looks to advance to 2-1 on the season when the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors roll into Tucscon. The Wildcats and Warriors are scheduled for a 10:45 p.m. ET kickoff on the Pac-12 Network.
