Terrell Owens calls out Trent Dilfer over Kaepernick comments

If you’ve paying attention to headlines in recent days, you likely saw some comments from ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer regarding the Colin Kaepernick protest.

Dilfer was of the mindset that being a backup quarterback is more important than standing up for something you believe in or trying to make a positive impact when it comes to social issues. The silly comments drew a great response from Kaepernick, who called Dilfer “ridiculous,” and now another former NFL star is coming to his defense.

On Wednesday, Terrell Owens spoke on the issue and was quick to show who he was supporting.

Dilfer has received plenty of heat for his comments and rightfully so.

On Wednesday, Dilfer doubled-down on his ridiculous comments by praising himself for focusing on football and being a backup rather than speaking out against childhood slavery.

So yeah, Trent Dilfer thinks he was being selfless by not speaking out for those who need help and don’t have a voice.

Perhaps it’s time for someone to take the mic away from Dilfer before he keeps taking “L’s.” It’s starting to get a bit embarrassing.
