Earlier this week, backup Oklahoma quarterback Austin Kendall called out the Ohio State defense, calling them “basic.” That didn’t seem to sit too well with former Buckeye and current Buffalo Bills quarterback Cardale Jones.
Jones, who has been known to be a pretty big troll on Twitter, took to his account and called Kendall out. He questioned how smart it was for Kendall to say something like that and then said that he must not play a lot.
Kid must not be playing much school, calling the silver bullets basic🤔 smart https://t.co/Q0SOZPYGeB

Do the Buckeyes go out and play good old-fashioned and hard-nosed football on defense? Yes, but all you have to do is watch some tape and know that they are far from “basic.”
In two games this year, the defense has returned three interceptions for touchdowns and held their opponents to just 13 points. If that is basic, I don’t want to know what advanced is.
I guess Kendall may, or may not, get a first-hand look at how the Buckeyes defense plays this weekend. The Sooners host Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday with the game airing on FOX.
