Clemson scores TD after South Carolina State blunder

Last week, the Clemson Tigers gave up a sure touchdown on a punt return after Ray Ray McCloud threw the ball down before he got into the endzone. They got a bit of a break this week after a bad blunder by the South Carolina State Bulldogs.

On a kickoff, Bulldog return man Ahmaad Harris forgot that you actually have to take a knee in the endzone to get a touchback.

Instead, he flipped the ball to the referee, allowing the Tigers to recover it in the endzone for a touchdown, making the score 21-0 late in the first quarter.

This is a pretty embarrassing mistake and shows why South Carolina State is an FCS team that hasn’t competed for a long while. That was great awareness by the Tigers to take a big lead in the first quarter.
