The No. 10 Louisville Cardinals and star quarterback Lamar Jackson were ready for today’s tough matchup against the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles and they wasted no time setting the tone.
On the very first drive of the game, Jackson led the Cardinals on a six-play, 75 yard drive that took just over two minutes before finding the endzone.
Brandon Radcliff sparked the drive with a 30-yard run, before Jackson found a streaking Jaylen Smith down the sideline. Smith stepped out of bounds just shy of the endzone at the two yard line.
Jackson was there for clean-up duty, however, as he punched the ball into the endzone for a two-yard score to take the early 7-0 lead. The touchdown run left Florida State’s entire defense on skates.

The Louisville defense followed up the score by forcing a Florida State punt.
It’s clear that the Cardinals are ready to play, so we will have to see if the Seminoles can shake off the early rust or whether Jackson’s Heisman campaign will reach another level as the Cardinals prove themselves as legit College Football Playoff contenders.
