Week 3 of the 2016 college football season brought a number of upsets, which means the top 25 rankings could look very different going into Week 4.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit released his new top five teams on Sunday morning.
The Louisville Cardinals soared up to No. 3 on Herbstreit’s list after they beat down the Florida State Seminoles. The Ohio State Buckeyes also jumped to No. 2, replacing the Seminoles, while Stanford moved to No. 4 and replaced Houston.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Michigan didn’t make Herbstreit’s top five after they struggled with Colorado in the first quarter of yesterday’s game. The Wolverines are also his Alma Mater, Ohio State’s biggest rival.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out and if this will affect the new polls coming out later today in any way.
