The Miami Hurricanes are set to reveal a throwback look later on today and it is rumored that they will wear the uniforms for most of the remainder of the 2016 season. It looks like one former Miami student has leaked the jersey and it is a throwback to the 1980’s.
Brody Logan of Fox5DC shared a picture of the away and home jerseys that the Hurricanes are likely to wear during the rest of the season. It calls back to the uniforms that players like Ray Lewis wore during their careers in Coral Gables.

While the uniforms seem basic, fans will have to remember the lore of Miami football in the 1980’s. They were 114-28 with three national championships and seven straight bowl appearances from 1983-1989.
If the Hurricanes can be as dominant as those teams were for the rest of the 2016 season, it is hard to believe they wouldn’t make a run at the College Football Playoff.
