Earlier this summer, Clemson defensive end Austin Bryant suffered a foot injury that was expected to keep him out for at least the first three games of the 2016 season. It looks like he will miss this week’s game against Georgia Tech due to the injury.
Head coach Dabo Swinney spoke with reporters and said that the Tigers hope to get Bryant on the field next week against the Louisville Cardinals. He was originally scheduled to return this week for their road trip to Atlanta against the Yellow Jackets.
Swinney on DE Austin Bryant: He's day to day. We hope for next week, but I truly don't know. It's a matter of him being able to cut loose.

Bryant was expected to be one of the Tigers’ top defensive linemen this year after Kevin Dodd and Shaq Lawson, who were the top two sackers in the ACC in 2015, left for the NFL. It will be interesting to see how productive he is against one of the best players in the country in Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson next week.
The Tiger and Cardinals meet up in Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. EST.
