Herbstreit: Ohio State has leg up athletically on every Big Ten team

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is a big believer in the Ohio State football team.

Since the Buckeyes’ big win over Oklahoma last weekend, Herbstreit has been using his platform to praise Urban Meyer’s team. First, Herbstreit commented on Ohio State’s offense, saying the team is more explosive than a year ago.

Herbstreit later later included the Buckeyes as the No. 2 team in his current top five.

Now, Herbstreit is back at it, praising the Buckeyes’ athleticism, saying they are a more athletic squad than any other team in the Big Ten.

The mirror will be [Ohio State’s] biggest competition,” Herbstreit said on SportsCenter. “I still feel — I said this before the season started — that they’re a leg up athletically on everybody in that conference, including Michigan.”

That’s some very high praise for the Buckeyes, but they’ve been living up to the hype this season.

Ohio State has the week off, before returning to action on Oct. 1 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in Columbus.
