Oklahoma State WR James Washington to declare for draft?

Oklahoma State wide receiver James Washington has been lighting up opposing secondaries this season, with his most impressive outing coming last weekend in a win over the Pittsburgh Panthers.

During the win, Washington hauled in nine catches for 296 yards and two touchdowns.

Because of his early season success, the junior pass catcher could soon be heading to the NFL.

According to TFY Draft Insider’s Tony Pauline, NFL scouts “expect” Washington to enter the 2017 NFL Draft if he keeps up on his current pace.

“The junior was dominant and could not be stopped from the get-go,” Pauline wrote. “He made several difficult catches with defenders draped on him, displayed better than advertised speed and generally looked like an overall receiver stud.”

Through three games, Washington has 19 receptions for 399 yards and three scores.

It will be interesting to see if he can build off of his impressive outing against Pitt.

Washington and the Cowboys return to action this weekend against the No. 16 Baylor Bears at McLane Stadium in Waco. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
