Ohio State RB Mike Weber praises offensive line

Mike Weber knows how to run the football. Through three games this season, he has accumulated 351 rushing yards, an average of 117 yards-per-game and 6.5 yard per carry. But the Ohio State running back also knows when to give credit where credit is due.

Weber took to Twitter to give his offensive line a shoutout, claiming they are the best in the nation.

A fair statement, given the way the Buckeyes have dominated at the line of scrimmage. While Weber has carried the majority of the load, running back Curtis Samuel has rushed for 260 yards on 32 attempts, while quarterback J.T. Barrett has added 159 yards on the ground.

Weber, a freshman out of Cass Techincal in Detroit, has hopes to continue to be the workhorse out the of the Ohio State backfield.

While there is statistical evidence to substantiate Weber’s claim, it’s also wise to keep your blockers happy. They do, after all, keep 300-pound mountains of men from slamming you to the ground at full force.

Ohio State is on a bye week this week and will return to action on Oct. 1, playing host to Rutgers.
