Video: Jacoby Brissett scores first TD from 27 yards out

The New England Patriots entered tonight’s game against the Houston Texans with rookie Jacoby Brissett coming in from third string to start at quarterback in place of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo. Late in the first quarter, he found his way into the endzone on a wild run for his first career touchdown.

Brissett showed off why the Patriots were so willing to take a chance on him in the draft earlier this year. He scrambled around and found room down the sideline before diving across the goal line for the touchdown.

Honestly, I think the Patriots could bring in a dead Harambe at quarterback and find some way to win, but Brissett has already proven to be worth the draft pick for the Patriots. It’s a shame that he won’t be playing once Tom Brady returns to save the day.
