Wisconsin names Alex Hornibrook starting QB vs. Michigan State

On Thursday, the Wisconsin Badgers named Alex Hornibrook the team’s starting quarterback for this weekend’s game against the Big Ten rival Michigan State Spartans.

The redshirt freshman was announced as the starting signal-caller during a Facebook Live broadcast earlier in the day.

The move officially sends struggling senior starter Bart Houston to the bench. During last week’s win over Georgia State, it was Hornibrook who came off the bench to replace Houston and spark the Badgers offense.

In limited action this season, Hornibrook has thrown for 183 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
