With several marquee matchups on the Week 4 college football schedule, let’s take a look at some of the most interesting games and betting odds. *Odds provided by OddsShark.com
No. 1. Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) vs. Kent State Golden Flashes (1-2)
The Pick: Alabama -44pts.
Getting prediction Saturday off with a cupcake, Alabama will roll right through the Kent State Golden Flashes. There is little doubt in this one and it should be all Crimson Tide, early and often. Kent State puts up enough of a fight to keep Alabama from covering the spread due to injuries to WR’s ArDarius Stewart and Robert Foster.
No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) v. Ole Miss (1-2)
The Pick: Georgia +7pts.
Ole Miss had their resident specter vanquished from the Alabama Crimson Tide sideline last week, blowing a three-touchdown lead and losing a 48-43 barnburner. Georgia is off to a 3-0 start but has failed to dominate any opponent, with a point differential of only 3 points, including a game against FCS Nicholls State. Georgia running back Nick Chubb takes advantage of a draft-weakened Ole Miss defense and the Bulldogs with a dogfight.
No. 18 LSU Tigers (2-1) v. Auburn Tigers (1-2)
The Pick: Auburn +3.5
Neither of these Tigers have come roaring into the season. After a loss to Wisconsin to open the year, LSU is looking to make a statement against Auburn this week. Only problem is, Auburn is 1-2 and isn’t looking like it’s powerhouse self either. Both of these coaches need to win, neither will be fired following a loss, but people sure will be asking for it. Gus Malzahn fires his boys up and Auburn takes care of business at home. Auburn wins by 10.
No. 17 Arkansas Razorbacks (3-0) v. #10 Texas A&M Aggies (3-0)
The Pick: A&M -6
Johnny Football got them started with the streak, and A&M hasn’t lost to the Razorbacks since 2012. In a battle of unbeatens and SEC foes, Arkansas travels to College Station and will look to knock off Texas A&M at Kyle Field. The Aggies have played well thus far, averaging 42.3 points per game, including a 67-0 shutout victory against Prairie View A&M. Look Aggie DE for Daeshon Hall to disrupt the Razorback offense, en route to an A&M victory. The Aggies win the game, but only win by 3 and don’t cover the spread.
No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers (3-0) v. #8 Michigan State (2-0)
The Pick: Wisconsin +3.5
The Wisconsin Badgers travel to East Lansing in a pivotal matchup against the Michigan State Spartans. After getting word that Corey Clement will be active for today’s game against Michigan State, I give the nod to a Badgers team that plays to their opponent. (Down to Georgia State last week, but up to Michigan State this week). Badgers move to 4-0 and are in the AP top ten next week.
