Odell Beckham donates $500K to Louisiana flood relief

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is a pretty well-known name in his homestate of Louisiana. He played his college ball at LSU and is still very active in his state and supports them in every way he can.

He announced earlier this week that he and fans will be able to give back to the state of Louisiana, which was ravaged by floods earlier this year. He took to Twitter and said that the first $500,000 made from sales of his Giants “Color Rush” jersey would be donated to help repair football fields in the state.

Beckham has continuously shown his generosity in the past and it only makes you wonder how anyone could ever hate the player. Last year, he raised money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in a softball game.

This is very cool for the wide receiver to do and it makes me want to purchase a jersey. Good job, Odell Beckham Jr.
