The Minnesota Golden Gophers are beating upon the Colorado State Rams with a 17-7 lead at the half. Gopher defensive end Tai’yon Devers made one of the biggest hits of the year on quarterback Collin Hill in the second quarter.
Hill dropped back to pass, but was unaware of Devers coming from the backside.
The end crushed Hill from behind and sent both the football and the quarterback’s helmet flying.

Fortunately, Hill was able to pop right back up and only had to leave for a play after his helmet came off. Devers has been a monster for the Golden Gophers this year and this just proves how good he is.
This was his third sack of the year and he is just a freshman. I think Tai’yon Devers will be a household name sooner rather than later for the Golden Gophers.
The Golden Gophers and Rams are facing off on Big Ten Network.
