Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight wins two national player awards

Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight has had a terrific season for the Aggies so far this year and he has the team looking like a real competitor for the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff. He had a great game against Arkansas last week and was nationally honored for his performance.

In the 45-24 win over the Razorbacks, Knight threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions while running the ball for a career-high 157 yards and two scores. He was recognized as Davey O’Brien Award national player of the week and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award national player of the week.

The Aggies are undefeated and have a 2-0 record in the SEC West while they are also ranked No. 9 in the country. It has been a fun year for the Aggies and Knight.

His transfer from Oklahoma has certainly worked out for them so far this year. Knight has thrown for over 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 308 yards and five touchdowns.

Texas A&M next faces off against the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia at 4 p.m. EDT with the game airing on SEC Network.
