Video: Kansas basketball players’ $12 million dorm is insane

McCarthy Hall has it all. The Kansas basketball program’s $12 million dorm is everything players could dream of.

It’s got TVs, ping pong tables, a kitchen, a media room, a barbershop — oh, and a half-court basketball court, among other things.

The basketball court should’ve gave it away, but the dormitory that opened in 2015 is home to the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team. Though there’s 17 other students who live in the building (wonder what they had to do), the main focus is clearly on the basketball players, members of one of the country’s most storied basketball programs.

The building, understandably in the vicinity of Allen Fieldhouse, will help Kansas with recruiting and according to head coach Bill Self, will also help with security.

The two men leading us around in the video tour are none other than Jayhawks players Devonte’ Graham and Landen Lucas.
