Two weeks ago, Florida State defensive end Josh Sweat suffered an injury in practice days before the team’s meeting with the Louisville Cardinals. He was originally ruled out in the game, but was able to play on a limited role.
He then underwent surgery to repair his meniscus and missed the team’s win over South Florida last weekend. However, it looks like Sweat could be back on the field for the Seminoles when they host the North Carolina Tar Heels.
“Oh yeah,” head coach Jimbo Fisher told the Tallahassee Democrat on Thursday. “He’s practiced the last two days. done well.”
Sweat’s prognosis for recovery was 1-2 weeks, so he seems right on target to return for the team in a big ACC match-up on Saturday. He will be able make a big impact for them as he has recorded three tackles with one for loss in two games this year.
The Seminoles host the Tar Heels at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday with the game airing on ESPN.
