Tennessee Volunteers running back Jalen Hurd is the latest college football player to have a mishap at the goal line.
During the first half of Saturday’s SEC East clash against the Georgia Bulldogs, star quarterback Joshua Dobbs found a wide open Hurd down the middle of the field and put the ball right on the money.
Rather than running into the endzone for an easy touchdown, Hurd pulled up before crossing the goal line and took a huge hit from the Georgia defender.
Hurd fumbled the ball as a result of the hit and Georgia recovered for a touchdown.
It’s the type of easy opportunity you can’t afford to miss in such a big game.

Oof. Butch Jones wasn’t very pleased, and rightfully so.
Luckily for the Volunteers, Dobbs was able to drive Tennessee down the field before the end of the half to get the team on the board. Tennessee trails Georgia, 17-7, at the half.
