Video: Oklahoma State’s James Washington knocked unconscious after huge hit

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are currently leading the No. 22 Texas Longhorns, but they will be without star wide receiver James Washington for the remainder of the game.

During the third quarter, Washington was being spun around by a defender when Longhorns defender Malcolm Roach came in with a devastating head-to-head hit that left Washington on the field unconscious.

After reviewing the play, officials determined the hit was not targeting so Roach remained un the game.

Because he was unconscious, Washington is automatically ruled out for the game.

Entering the game, Washington had 25 receptions for 488 yards and three touchdowns. On Saturday before the injury, Washington had hauled in three catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Oklahoma State leads Texas, 43-31 with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
