Heisman Watch 2016: Top 5 candidates entering Week 6

Another weekend of college football action is in the books and the Heisman Watch is beginning to heat up. As we approach the month and a half mark of the season, there is one man, Louisville star Lamar Jackson, who as emerged as the clear front-runner for the award.

A number of familiar faces — including returning finalists Deshaun Watson of Clemson and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey — remain in the mix, while there is one man small and stature but big time when it comes to playmaking and another signal-caller rounding out the top five contenders.

There is still plenty of football left to be played, so it will be interesting to see how the battle for the Heisman continues to play out.

Who enters Week 6 of the college football season as the leaders in the Heisman race?

We have all of that and more in this week’s Heisman Watch.
