Video: Kansas State player celebrates TD by punching teammate in stomach

Thanks to the Kansas State football program, we have a new way to celebrate touchdowns: friendly fire.

On Saturday, Kansas State’s Byron Pringle returned a 99-yard kickoff for a touchdown. Naturally, he was mobbed by his teammates and a wild celebration began. But this celebration had a different twist.

Pringle’s teammate, Dominique Heath, walked up to the celebration and responded with a swift right hand to the gut.

At first it all seemed staged, but Pringle stayed down and actually appeared to be in pain as he made his way to the sideline. Check out the bizarre moment below:

If this was a planned celebration, the guys need to work on their execution. If Heath just decided to deliver a liver shot to his opponent, what the hell man?

We’re guessing this was just a planned celebration gone wrong, though. Better luck next time, fellas. At least Kansas State came away from Bill Snyder Family Stadium with a 44-38 win.
