FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll, Week 6: Alabama No. 1, top four unchanged

Following Week 6 of college football season, the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation unveiled the updated FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll.

As you would expect, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain in the No. 1 spot as this week’s top four remain unchanged.

Arkansas dropped out of the poll after losing to Alabama and Stanford slipped out as well after losing to Washington State. Virginia Tech and Boise State both entered the Top 16 for the first time this season. Houston fell out of the top five after its loss to Navy.

Three conferences –ACC, SEC and Big Ten–dominated the poll with four teams each.

The American, Big 12, Mountain West and Pac-12 have one team each.
