Arkansas professor Lawton Lanier Nalley was arrested on Saturday for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. According to reports, he was verbally accosting Arkansas coach Bert Bielema following the Razorbacks 49-30 loss to Alabama.
Nalley, a professor of agricultural economics and agribusiness at the university is quoted as saying the following:

Here is a video of the events as they unfolded.
You can see Nalley continuing to taunt someone who is down on the sideline as a young woman, noticeably embarrassed by his behavior, tries to pull him away. Police intervene before too long and put Nalley in cuffs, generating a small cheer from the crowd. (One of few for Razorbacks fans that night).

Nalley was booked and released within one hour of his arrest. Arkansas is yet to announce any disciplinary action that will be taken against Nalley, but it seems unlikely that he’ll be in class on Monday.
Arkansas will continue SEC play against Ole’ Miss next week. I, for one, hope Nalley is there to keep giving Bielema the business.
