UPDATE: Wednesday afternoon, UFC president Dana White confirmed Rousey will return on Dec. 30 against Amanda Nunes for the title in the UFC 207 headliner.
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is one step closer to her return to mixed martial arts.
On Tuesday evening, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com took to Twitter to drop a quick nugget of information. That information states Rousey is currently finalizing her return to the Octagon.
When Rousey does return, it appears that it will be against current title holder Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30.

UFC 207 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Another rumored bout for the event have included Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum, but nothing has been finalized. As Helwani indicates, we should be learning more about UFC 207 in the coming days.
