John Calipari will probably coach in the NBA at some point. It’s a never-ending story line with Calipari being linked to several professional teams every offseason. However now Calipari has gone on the record as saying he will be at the program for at least 4 or 5 more years while his son is a walk-on at the program. After that? “shoot, I may be hanging it up. At that point I’d be 60, 61. I never thought I would coach past the age of 60,”
I want to address this with the Big Blue Nation one last time, I will be coaching at Kentucky next year. Now let's finish what we started!

Calipari has helped to shape a lot of NBA talent. It seems only reason he might want to coach at the highest level.
Calipari retiring at the age of 60 seems unlikely for a coach who is continuing to find success at an unimaginable level. I’m not so confident he’ll stay at the university for the sake of his son, either. It seems like a great excuse that Kentucky fans can understand and find some comfort in.
But are we really to believe Calipari won’t still go to the NBA at some point? He wouldn’t be the first to say he’s staying before leaving…
