Leonard Fournette expected to return vs. Ole Miss

Leonard Fournette is finally expected to return to the lineup.

According to Julie Boudwin of Nola.com, Fournette is set to return for the Tigers this weekend against Ole Miss. It is perfect timing for LSU. With a brutal stretch of the schedule coming — games against Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Texas A&M — it is crucial for Fournette to have an opportunity to get back up to speed after missing some time.

The junior running back has missed three games this season due to injury against Jacksonville State, Missouri and Southern Miss. Fournette has recorded 386 yards and two touchdowns in three appearances this year.

In Fournette’s absence, the Tigers watched backup running back Derrius Guice shine, recording 564 yards and six touchdowns in relief.

LSU and Ole Miss are set for a 9 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.

The game will air on ESPN2.
