In the first quarter of Saturday’s win over North Carolina State, Clemson starting running back Wayne Gallman took a devastating hit to the head and was forced out of the game.
On Monday, Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed Gallman will be held out of practice this week while he goes through concussion protocol.
Dabo Swinney teleconference: RB Wayne Gallman "feels good" this morning, but won't practice this week as he undergoes concussion protocol.

This is the smart approach for Clemson. It also helps that the Tigers are in no rush to get Gallman back on the practice field because Clemson is off this weekend.
The No. 4 Tigers return to action Saturday, Oct. 29 against the Florida State Seminoles.
If everything goes according to plan, Clemson will enter the important ACC clash later this month with its starting running back in the lineup. This season, Gallman leads the Tigers with 489 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
