USA Today College Football Coaches Poll – Week 9

Another wild weekend of college football is in the books, so it’s time to see just how much of a shake up there was in the rankings. On Sunday afternoon, the USA Today Coaches Poll gave us an idea of the college landscape moving forward.

As expected, the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide remained the No. 1 team in the nation. Alabama received 63 of the possible 64 first-place votes.

Outside of the top spot, there were some major shakeups, with the Houston Cougars falling 13 spots to No. 24. Ohio State also fell from No. 2 to No. 8 after losing to unranked Penn State.

On the flip side, the Auburn Tigers were able to jump seven spots in the poll to the No. 17 spot.
