Oklahoma football fan starts petition to fire Mike Stoops

One Oklahoma football fan has had enough of the team’s defensive struggles this season.

The angry Sooner fan took to change.org to start a petition with the hope of getting defensive coordinator Mike Stoops fired. This comes after the Oklahoma defense surrendered 50+ points for the second time this season.

It is the third time in 2016 that the Sooners have given up 40+ points to opponents.

There is clearly room for improvement.

The petition won’t really impact anything, since they never do, but it just adds to the pressure that Mike Stoops is facing to turn the defense around. He better do so quickly, too, because Oklahoma finishes the season against Baylor, West Virginia and Oklahoma State.

Conventional wisdom indicates we should expect some blowouts and potentially the end of Mark Stoops’ time on his older brother’s staff could be coming to an end.
