Donnell Pumphrey’s incredible collegiate career continues as he continues to move up the all-time FBS rushing list.
During Friday night’s 40-13 shellacking of Utah State, the San Diego State Aztecs star running back reached the No. 5 spot on the all-time list with 5741 career rushing yards.
Pumphrey trails only Ron Dayne, Ricky Williams, Tony Dorsett and DeAngelo Williams.
RANK | PLAYER | SCHOOL | YARDS |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Ron Dayne | Wisconsin (1996-99) | 6397 |
2 | Ricky Williams | Texas (1995-98) | 6279 |
3 | Tony Dorsett | Pittsburgh (1973-76) | 6082 |
4 | DeAngelo Williams | Memphis (2002-05) | 6026 |
5 | Donnel Pumphrey | San Diego State (2013-present) | 5741 |
In order to come out on top, Pumphrey will need to record 656 yards over his final four regular season games. Considering Pumphrey ran for 223 yards in San Diego State’s win, the No. 1 spot is definitely within reach.
The Aztecs finish off the season against Hawaii, Nevada, Wyoming and Colorado State.
