Ex-Alabama QB Blake Barnett to visit Oregon

Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett is officially open to be wined and dined by college programs around the country. The quarterback will take his first official visit with the Oregon Ducks for next weeks game against Stanford.

Multiple teams are rumored to have shown interest in Barnett including: Cal, Florida, Miami, Michigan State, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington.

Barnett was the No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the country in 2015 when decided to take his talents to Alabama. Things haven’t panned out quite the way he hoped and he is now looking to go elsewhere. He reportedly took an unofficial visit to Arizona State earlier this month.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound has played in three games this season and was 11-for-19 in those appearances.

Because of a transfer rule bylaw exploited by Barnett, he could be eligible to play as early as the fourth week of next season wherever he chooses to play.  According to 247 Sports, Barnett is currently enrolled at Palomar Junior College and is on track to graduate in the spring but isn’t playing football there.
