Alabama football players serenade Nick Saban on 65th birthday

Alabama head coach Nick Saban turned 65 today and his roster full of elite college football players wasn’t going to let him forget about it.

Fighting back a smile as he entered, coach Saban enters the meeting room and walks to a podium amid a series of cheers that eventually become the beginnings of the song Happy Birthday. Saban isn’t known for his smiling and joking around, but it’s difficult not feel feel warm inside when a group of 200 pound super athletes are all attempting to sing for you in unison.

While they’re cheering and having a good time now, they’ll be getting down to work very soon.

The Crimson Tide will be taking on the LSU Tigers in one of the marquee match ups of the weekend. The Tide, who have looked all but unbeatable this season will have their run defense tested against likely first-round draft choice Leonard Fournette who ran for 284 yards last week.

The song is nice, but what Saban would like best would be a dominant win in all phases of the game.
