Another wild weekend of college football is in the books, so it’s time to see just how much of a shake up there was in the rankings. On Sunday afternoon, the USA Today Coaches Poll gave us an idea of the college landscape moving forward.
As expected, the No. 1 team in the nation is once again the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama used a strong defensive effort to edge LSU, 10-0, on Saturday.
The biggest riser in this week’s poll is the Penn State Nittany Lions. After securing its fifth-straight win of the season, the program has moved up nine spots to land at No. 14 in the latest poll.
The biggest drop went to Baylor, which dropped 12 spots to No. 25.
