This weekend, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be facing Army in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday as part of the annual Shamrock Series game.
On Wednesday, Notre Dame unveiled some incredible, hand painted helmets for the special occasion. The remarkably detailed helmets feature images from Church of Sacred Heart on campus. The helmets were inspired to represent “a SPIRIT of FAITH and PATRIOTISM that has animated Notre Dame since 1842.”

These may be some of the greatest alternate helmets we’ve seen.
Well done, Notre Dame. Any time you can incorporate iconic imagery from campus into the uniform, you hit a home run.
Kickoff between the Fighting Irish and Midshipmen is set for 3:30 p.m. ET at the Alabama. Live coverage will be available on NBC.
