Video: Solider surprises his wife, kids prior to Florida State game

In the spirit of Veteran’s Day, teams all across the FBS are finding different ways to honor those who have served. One of the most touching took place prior to the Florida State-Boston College game on Friday night.

Chief Military Officer III Ryan Otto surprised his wife and four kids by flying home and being with them.

Prior to his running out on the field, his young daughter can be seen wiping tears out of her eyes while watching a message on the video board from her father. There appears to be a combination of shock and excitement on the face of his wife, Jennifer.

Meanwhile, the kids are so overcome that they have trouble standing still to take the picture.

Officer Otto was previously stationed in Alabama but was deployed in Afghanistan a year ago. With all of the protests and tumult in the American political landscape, it is easy to overlook the sacrifice made by people like Ryan Otto.
