Connor McGregor recently became the first UFC fighter to hold two titles in two different weight classes simultaneously.
In typical McGregor style, he talked trash before the fight, backed it up during the fight, and praised himself after the fight. What is it that is so magnetic/polarizing about McGregor? His bravado and braggadocio? Perhaps.
It certainly has grabbed the attention of WWE wrestling legend turned executive Triple H.
The wrestling legend was ringside for the fight in which McGregor handled his opponent Eddie Alvarez smoothly and efficiently and with ease; winning by TKO in the second round.
Triple H liked what he saw, and thinks McGregor has all the tools to make a star in the WWE.
“He could come over, he’s got it all, man – he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure,” Triple H said, via the Star Telegraph.

McGregor has been critical of the WWE in the past, but his announcement following the fight suggests that me may be taking a hiatus from the UFC. McGregor announced that he was having a child with his longtime girlfriend, and wondered if it might be time to take the foot off of the gas.
“I’m just going to go chill for a bit, enjoy these two belts and that’s it. I could keep going, but I’m aware of my worth. I’ve got a family on the way, I’ve got a kid on the way,” McGregor said at the UFC 205 post-fight press conference.
McGregor is expected to pursue an ownership stake in the UFC, but perhaps the WWE could be fun side-gig for him. Triple H thinks he can do it, and McGregor has the personality, so why not?
