While making their way to the stadium for a game against the New Mexico State Aggies, the buses carrying the players and coaches were involved in a traffic collision.
According to reports, one of the buses rear-ended the other while the team made their way from El Paso, Texas to Las Cruces, New Mexico. None of the players or coaches sustained any serious injuries as a result of the collision along Interstate-10, though as many as five players were taken to the hospital as a result.
The rest of the team was loaded onto a replacement bus and continued their trek to the stadium in Las Cruces.

The game, originally scheduled to kickoff at 3:00 pm ET, has been pushed back and will start at 5:20 pm ET. Both teams are 2-7 this season and are not playing for bowl eligibility or jockeying for significant conference positioning.
While Texas State would rather have their full squad on the field, you have to imagine they’re grateful things didn’t turn out much worse.
