Ohio State-Michigan is the marquee matchup in college football this weekend. Both teams have been among the best in the country all season, and this years incarnation of “The Game” promises to be one of the most competitive in a long time.
Both teams will be preparing as if the game were an elimination game (because in many ways it is), but what Ohio State is doing is beyond that.

Because they’ll be looking to hit them Wolverines every chance they get on Saturday, they’ve done up their tackling dummies in a Michigan Wolverines motif. Visualize and attack, it seems, for the Buckeyes in practice this week.
No word yet on what weird thing Jim Harbaugh is almost certainly doing in preparation of one of the biggest games of the season.
If the playoff started today, both of these teams would make the cut. However, the certainty that one of them will lose another game before the season is over complicates the College Football Playoff picture a good deal.
It isn’t inconceivable that the loser of this game would still make the College Football Playoff, but the door would certainly open for Washington if they have a strong showing against Washington State in their final regular season game.
