Oklahoma State holds practice in hotel conference room

No hoop? No court? No problem. While competing at the Maui Invitational, the Oklahoma State basketball team held a dry run of their practice in the conference room of their hotel.

The Cowboys are facing the Georgetown Hoyas in the third-place place game and have precious little time to prepare. Apparently unable to secure a location that would adequately accommodate their basketball-specific needs, they decided to improvise.

They taped down a key on the blue and gold hotel carpet and are running through their opponent specific game plan. Not being able to actually shoot-around the way they would have preferred doesn’t seem to be having any adverse effects on them, though.

They lead Georgetown by fifteen points going into the halfway point and are showing no signs of slowing down.

If they manage to hang on and win the game, practicing in the hotel conference room will be one of those fun “remember that time at camp” type stories.

If their offensive output sputters and costs them the game, the narrative in the locker room might be: “Why didn’t have a shoot-around for the game?”
