Report: Leonard Fournette to miss LSU’s regular season finale

The LSU Tigers finish off their 2016 regular season campaign on Thanksgiving night with a road trip to College Station to take on the No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies.

Unfortunately for LSU, they will be without the services of star running back Leonard Fournette, who was listed as day-to-day this week.

According to The Advocate, Fournette did not make the trip to Texas A&M.

This could effectively end Fournette’s college career, as many expect the junior to declare for the 2017 NFL Draft following the season.

It’s just the latest setback in a disappointing season for Fournette, who entered 2016 as one of the Heisman Trophy favorites. However, Fournette has been slowed down by a nagging ankle injury that has forced him to miss multiple games this year.

In 2016, Fournette has carried the ball 129 times for 843 yards and eight scores.

Kickoff between LSU and Texas A&M is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
