Daniel Cormier injured, forced to withdraw from UFC 206

UFC officials are in search of a new main event for UFC 206.

On Friday afternoon, MMAFighting.com reported light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was forced to withdraw from his scheduled main event bout with Anthony Johnson due to injury.

The exact nature of the injury was not disclosed.

According to the report, the UFC currently plans to keep Johnson on the fight card and they are currently searching for a new headlining bout.

UFC 206 takes place on Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Earlier this week, the event also lost a main card bout between middleweights Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans after it was revealed that Evans was unable to get his license.
