Another busy week of action is in the books as the 2016-17 college basketball season rolls on through Week 5. On Monday, USA Today released its latest Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll and it was the defending national champion Villanova Wildcats who came out in the No. 1 spot. UCLA was also the biggest riser of the week, jumping seven spots to No. 2.
Kansas, Duke and North Carolina round out the top five, while last week’s No. 1, Kentucky, dropped six spots to No. 7.
The biggest loser of the week was the Xavier Musketeers, crashing out of the top ten and falling seven spots to No. 14.
