You don’t need to understand cricket to appreciate this diving catch

If we told you a couple of months ago that a man named Steve Smith was going to make one of the best catches of the year, you likely would have assumed the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver was the Steve Smith in question.

However, that is not the case as Australian cricketer Steve Smith pulled off a remarkable diving catch over the weekend that you don’t even need to understand cricket to appreciate.

New Zealand batsman B.J. Watling cracked the ball when Smith made a diving, one-handed grab before falling face first into the turf.

What a legend.

Australia went on to win by 68 runs.

I’m sure the cricketing community will be talking about that catch — which required a .65 second rection time, according to The Daily Telegraph for quite some time.
