The ultimate prize is obviously the National Championship. It is the singular trophy that every player wants to hoist; the ultimate affirmation of a job well done. But the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl isn’t a bad place to land, either.
This year, the Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Old Dominion Monarchs were lucky enough to be invited to the warmest bowl game of the season.
With Eastern Michigan receiving only its second bowl bid in team history, and its first in nearly 30 years, it is truly a time to celebrate. Perhaps with a rum drink, you’re in the Bahama’s after all.
To show their appreciation, the Eagles posted an image on Twitter confirming they will be sporting decals on their helmets bearing the Bahamas flag.

The team also has some pretty sweet jerseys and luggage tags for the trip as well.
