There is some good news for the Iowa basketball program.
On Monday morning, Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that forward Tyler Cook is expected to return to the court for the Hawkeyes on Dec. 28 against the Purdue Boilermakers.
Iowa's Tyler Cook (finger) will return in the Big Ten opener at Purdue on December 28th, per Fran McCaffery.

The star freshman was injured back in November when he broke a finger during practice that required surgery. Cook’s Dec. 28 return means he will be back on the court just in time for the team to begin conference play.
This season, the former four-star recruit has played in six games and is averaging 13.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Iowa returns to the court tomorrow night against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. Tip-off at Carver-Hawkeye Arena is set for 9 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
