Leonard Fournette claps back at critics mad at decision to skip LSU bowl game

Leonard Fournette announced earlier this month that he would be skipping out on LSU’s bowl game in order to focus on rehab and preparation for the NFL Draft.

People instantly began criticizing the Tigers star for making a business decision and worrying about his future, but Fournette did not respond to any of the critics or anyone who was angry.

Well, at least not until today.

On Tuesday, Fournette took to Twitter and shared a photo with a message clearly directed at his detractors and it was perfect.

When you see the photo, it’s easy to understand Fournette’s decision.

Can you really be mad at a player for looking out for his family?

This message puts it all into perspective. Fournette has spent the last three years sacrificing his body on the field for LSU’s gain, but now he’s ready to begin the next chapter of his career which includes compensation for his talents that will set his daughter up for a better life.

Do you, Leonard. Go get that paycheck.
