Another prized Ohio State football commit has picked up a national honor for his standout performance at the high school level.
On Wednesday morning, five-star cornerback Shaun Wade was named the American Family Insurance All-USA Defensive Player of the Year by USA TODAY Sports.
From the announcement:
Ohio State commit led team to its fourth consecutive state title with 63 tackles and seven interceptions. Also had 690 all-purpose yards and six touchdown catches.

Last week, quarterback Tate Martell was named the Gatorade High School Football National Player of the Year.
Both Wade and Martell are among the many talented players in Ohio State’s incredible 2017 recruiting class. And there may be more talent headed to Columbus, as Martell says the Buckeyes will add at least two more five-star recruits before the recruiting cycle ends.
It’s a good time to be an Ohio State fan.
