The Cincinnati basketball program was nearly upset by Marshall at Fifth Third Arena on Thursday night, but senior guard Troy Caupain saved the day for the No. 24 Bearcats.
With a few seconds left on the clock in overtime, Marshall and Cincinnati were tied at 91 points a piece before Caupain successfully converted a floater to beat the buzzer and give the Bearcats a 93-91 lead with .7 seconds left on the clock.
Marshall tried a full court shot hoping for a miracle of their own, but it was unsuccessful as Cincinnati advanced to 10-2 on the season.
